Women in RE-A STEP FORWARD
Ms Nagaveni from Shimoga District of Karnataka is an inspiration for those women who wish to work in technical fields. She has been working as a Service Associate (Sevabandhu), focusing on the installation and servicing of solar systems, with SELCO since 2019.
Nagaveni was unable to complete her studies after 8th standard due to bad financial condition of her family. Taking note of it, she first joined a Self-Help Group as a trainer and then SECLO.
She has been working actively to inform small entrepreneurs, local youth about the livelihood opportunities that can be catalysed using solar energy, particularly for women to then lead a self-reliant lifestyle.
