The HRD scheme is continued for the period of 2021-22 to 2025-26. The objective of the Ministry’s Human Resource Development programme is to institutionalize the renewable energy education and training to meet the requirement of qualified and trained manpower in the country.

- Short term trainings and skill development in renewable energy
- Fellowships for higher studies and research in renewable energy
- Enhancement of Renewable Energy education and training infrastructure.
- Renewable Energy Chair
- National Renewable Energy Internship Programme
