Another exuberant female e-rickshaw driver based in Kaisarganj, Ms Reshma says, “The best aspect of being an e-rickshaw driver is time flexibility and being your own boss.

Her story is mirrored in the lives of numerous rural women who are becoming entrepreneurs through the SMV’s flagship programme Vahini.

She was able to acquire an electric rickshaw equipped with a CCTV camera thanks to the Vahini programme and further received one week training.

Reshma has gradually gained passengers throughout the region and is now earning between about 500 rupees per day.
