Women in RE-A STEP FORWARD

Mrs Madhurima Gogoi from Dibrugarh of Assam has been involved in the micro-level food processing industry since 2012. Earlier, she was facing many problems such as perishing of raw materials due to lack of proper drying equipment.

In December 2019, she availed the Solar Dryer Machine from ASRLM (Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission). After the installation of the Solar Dryer, she has been able to save the products from perishing on zero operating cost and minimal maintenance.

Thus, Gogoi just not increased her income but also showed the way for other women involved in the sector to increase their income by using renewable energy sources.
