There is no requirement of an additional contract/ agreement for scheduling of power.     6 Aug 2023 Ministry of Power NATIONAL FRAMEWORK FOR PROMOTING ENERGY STORAGE The Ministry of Power, Government of India, has unveiled a comprehensive National Framework aimed at promoting Energy Storage Systems (ESS) as an integral part of the country’s power infrastructure. This initiative comes in line with India’s commitment to harness renewable energy sources and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The key objectives of this framework are to ensure a constant supply of renewable energy (Renewable Energy- Round the Clock), reduce emissions, and lower energy costs by incentivizing ESS deployment while reducing the reliance on fossil fuel power plants.     11 15.02.2023 Ministry of New & Renewable Energy Gati Shakti cell PM-Gati Shakti National Master Plan related to Renewable Energy – reg. MNRE on renewable energy inclusions in Gati Shakti, it states that the ministry has created a cell wherein entire communication for all the works related to PM Gati Shakti could be done. Further, projects of capacity more than 50 MW would be mapped on the PM-Gati Shakti portal. Meanwhile, the Gati Shakti cell would map the projects taken by the renewable energy implementing agencies (REIA) on the portal. A standard format for mapping data has been approved by MNRE. In coordination with the National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE) and BISAG-N, the Gati Shakti cell will upload the resource maps of solar radiation and wind speed on the portal. (1.7 mb, PDF) View

    19 28.06.2023 Ministry of Power Guidelines for Resource Adequacey Planning Framework for India-reg. The guidelines will ensure that sufficient electricity is made available to power the country’s growth, by putting in place a framework for advance procurement of resources by DISCOMs to meet the electricity demand in a cost-effective manner. Guidelines provide for an institutional mechanism for Resource Adequacy ranging from National level to Discom level such that the availability of resources to meet the demand is ensured at each level.
