Guidelines and Standard Bidding Documents for Tariff Based Competitive Bidding Process for Grid Connected Power Projects Based on Renewable Energy Sources (excluding wind)

The section 63 of Electricity Act, 2003 states:  “Notwithstanding anything contained in section 62, the Appropriate Commission shall adopt the tariff if such tariff has been determined through transparent process of bidding in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Central Government.”

 MNRE after consultation with various stakeholders has finalised the Guidelines as well as Standards Bidding Documents for Tariff Based Competitive Bidding Process for Grid Connected Power Projects Based on Renewable Energy Sources. These documents can be accessed at links given below:

The Guidelines and Standards Bidding Documents have been forwarded to Ministry of Power for notification as required under Section 63 of Electricity Act, 2003.The state may use these documents for bidding for solar power.
