The HRD scheme is continued for the period of 2026-27 to 2030-31. The objective of the Ministry’s Human Resource Development programme is to institutionalize the renewable energy education and training to meet the requirement of qualified and trained manpower in the country.
Components of the Scheme:
- Short term trainings and skill development in renewable energy.
- Scholarships/Fellowships/Internships for higher studies and research in renewable energy.
- Enhancement of Renewable Energy education and training infrastructure.
- Renewable Energy Chair.
- Creation of a iGoT type learning environment – Virtual Learning Environment & Teaching Aids.
- An enabling digital platform for connecting trained and certified manpower with potential employers.
